Accelerated Reader is an incentive program designed to encourage students to read books. Students can choose books in the library that have an Accelerated Reader quiz. Students can take the quiz and gain points as they answer quiz questions correctly. The quizzes consist of ten questions. At the end of each nine weeks, students who reach their points with 85% accuracy will get to participate in a fun party or celebration. Last year's Librarian set up fun prizes that students could receive as they earned points. I decided to follow her lead and uses the same prize and point system listed below

At the END of the EACH nine weeks, I plan to do something special for those students who reach their goal.  Also, I will follow last year's plan for the END of the YEAR Inflatables Party. Students who have earned 25 points or more for the YEAR will be able to attend the END of the YEAR Inflatables Party.
